Peter Lee Hamilton is an Associate at Torridon Law and Advisor at the Torridon Group, where he advises clients on complex problems at the intersection of law, business, technology, and government. He has counseled clients across the energy, technology, financial services, media, and other highly regulated industries.
At Torridon, Peter works on multidisciplinary matters requiring legal analysis, business judgment, and coordination across technical, commercial, and government stakeholders. He led strategy and cross-functional execution for a Department of Energy application that secured more than $240 million in awards, coordinating drafting, stakeholder input, and submission. His energy-sector work also includes analyzing complex commercial agreements for one of the largest LNG export facilities in the United States. He has advised technology and financial-services companies on new-market entry and emerging regulatory issues; counseled energy and infrastructure clients on commercial, regulatory, and strategic matters; and supported clients navigating government investigations, federal advocacy initiatives, and complex litigation. His litigation experience includes drafting briefs in federal district and appellate courts and representing a major media company in copyright litigation against a leading artificial-intelligence company.
Peter also counsels clients and senior leaders on sensitive matters at the intersection of law, business, policy, and public affairs. He served as personal counsel to a senior financial and public-policy leader during a presidential nomination and Senate confirmation process, advising on financial disclosure and ethics compliance. He has also drafted and edited speeches, written materials, and executive communications for former Cabinet-level and other senior public officials.
Through Torridon Group, Peter advises on business strategy and emerging technologies. He has worked with clients on market-entry and growth strategy and also helps lead Torridon’s artificial-intelligence implementation efforts.
Before joining Torridon, Peter co-founded and served as CEO of an incubator-backed conversational AI startup. He is the co-founder and president emeritus of the National Korean Student Alliance (N-KSA), a national nonprofit organization connecting students, young professionals, nonprofits, and community institutions.
Peter currently serves as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy Reserve working in Public Affairs. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University, where he teaches courses on decision-making, professional judgment, relationship-building, and strategic communication.
Peter earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where he graduated in the top 10% of his M.B.A. class and was named a Poets & Quants Best & Brightest MBA. He received his B.A. in Government from Georgetown University, where he was an Entrepreneurship Fellow and studied abroad at Yonsei University.
