Gabrielle Kenny brings a wealth of experience from across all three branches of government spanning investigations, litigation, congressional, and policy matters. She most recently served as Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Senior Counsel in the Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy, where she managed the Senate confirmation process for judicial nominees, including preparation for Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. During her time in the Department, she worked on the confirmations of more than 50 judges.
Gabrielle previously worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she focused on oversight, investigations, and judicial nominations. During her time in the Senate, she worked on many high-profile and politically sensitive matters, including a Supreme Court nomination, several Attorney General nominations, oversight of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, oversight of DOJ’s investigation into Crossfire Hurricane, and impeachment proceedings.
Gabrielle was previously an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. She prosecuted a broad spectrum of crimes, including fraud, firearms, narcotics, and tax crimes. She supervised and managed teams of agents developing cases for prosecution, conducted jury and bench trials, and authored several winning briefs in the Fourth Circuit.
Gabrielle began her career clerking for Judge Lisa Godbey Wood of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and for Judge Jose M. Lopez of the D.C. Superior Court.
